Sakirin Mosque

I felt honoured and excited to be asked by the designer Zeynep Fadillioglu to contribute to the Sakirin Mosque project.  I hope that what I have created induces a sense of peace and tranquility and a focus for contemplation.

The water sculpture comprises a mirror polished stainless steel hemisphere with water emerging at its apex and rollwaving down over its outer surface.  This is a self contained working system with integrated holding tank, into which the water returns through a narrow slot around the perimeter.
